Patterns at the Piano, Book 1 is a supplemental repertoire book for beginning piano students.
The pieces in this book are inspired by Marilyn Lowe's Music Moves for Piano, an audiation-based piano curriculum aimed at cultivating a rhythm, tonal, and keyboard pattern vocabulary to develop listening, performing, creating, improvising, composing, arranging, and reading/writing skills at the piano.
Patterns at the Piano, Book 1 works especially well as a repertoire companion book for Music Moves for Piano, Student Book 1. Pieces are meant to be taught in order, as they are sequenced with the performance pieces of Music Moves for Piano, Student Book 1.
